I would think that word perfect would have an auto save function much like MS Word. Check for the file in the Notes temp directory which would be found as a folder named notesNNNNNN. on my machine it's under
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\notesE2CCF2
this is where Notes opens files for editing. I think DTF files are found there as well but you should see the actual application file there too. Also, the Notes client has an auto save feature. Locate the as_username.nsf file under the data directory and see if it's in there. I don't know of a way to recover a DTF file but did you google it?
